The creek bottom was sparkling like a million stars as she walked farther and farther up the creek. Her hounds were following, Plum and Clay along the shore, Axis splashing beside, but even the little waves he made didn't obscure how much more concentrated the ore here was.
She spotted a small rock and tossing her pack -minus her pan- to shore she sat and began sifting the silt. Axis came over and started nudging her pockets, now he wanted a snack? She reached in feeling for a treat but her pocket was empty. "Okay okay, I'll get you a cookie, hold on." She went to the bank to grab her pack but as she reached it a dark spot caught her eye. What was that? A cave? (WC 128)
