A Savoury Celebration!

After two rounds of fund raising and an expedition to boot Alice Blackwood and her team are proud to report that the path to Paet is fully funded, bridge and all! This major infastructure undertaking is estimated to be complete on November 1! And in the mean time, it's time for a celebration! Handlers and Hounds are invited to attend the The Great Paetian Expansion Party! Lucky handlers may go home with a tasty treat that will help hounds perform in agility, tolling or obedience shows. Very lucky handlers may even learn how to make these items themselves!
Building a Bridge

Alice Blackwood and her team have returned from their expedition to the Evermist Coast, just south of Paet. Thanks to the help of all the scouts they've finalized the carriage path, and building is well under way! Just south of their destination they've determined that they'll need to cross the Rushwater, a fast moving river that cuts through the Densewood. This seems to be the final hurdle for opening travel to Paet itself!

The Path to Paet

All week Alice Blackwood has been hosting shows in Azzaru, hoping to lure in interested Itonans. Today, she's ready to announce her plans - she wants to create a steam carriage track to Paet! Paet is known for its unparalleled hunting opportunities along its rugged coastline and deep forests. Alice has scouted a potential track, but needs help to fund the expansion.

It also seems like it's ship season down at the Ynnis Harbour. We're excited to announce that we are transitioning to Open Beta! This means new folks can join us without filling out our joining form. Big Beta Update!

Welcome back friends, to part 2 of our Beta Test! Our show system is complete, tested, and functioning as intended!!! This means beta is back to rolling onwards! Our current plan is to continue testing for the rest of spring and summer, while onboarding new players. We'll then move into full open in the early autumn.

Open Systems
New Player Quest
It is suggested that all players start here, as it will give you the footing to explore further in the game!
Exploring
Exploring in both Ynnis and Azzaru is open and available! Remember, you'll need basic hound handling, which can be earned during the new player quest, in order to explore! (Or a biddable Hound!)
Hunting
Hunting in both Ynnis and Azzaru is open! You'll need a hunt token and a Hound with basic hunt training!
Automatic Item Sell Back
Sell items you find while exploring to fund your purchases!
Hound Design & Approvals
These can be submitted through the system on phenotypes by selecting the 'Submit Phenotype Design' option.
Travel
Travel between Ynnis and Azzaru is open! You can purchase a ticket at the carriage station shop, and use it at the carriage station prompt.
Training
Hounds can earn training and spend it at training classes! More types of classes will be released throughout beta, but obedience, conformation and hunting classes are currently available. Expect tolling and agility classes to join the line up soon!
Skills
Your Hounds aren't alone in their ability to learn new things! Your handler can pick up all sorts of skills, including specific show handling skills.
Shops
Shops are beginning to stock! Keep an eye out, shops can receive new stock at random times! Please note that during closed beta breeding assessments will stock at a reduced price. You are expected to apply these to your Hound(s) before closed beta ends!
Breeding
Breeding is now open! Each player can submit one breeding per week!
Crafting
Crafting has been released, and several recipes are discoverable in city explorations!
Hound Sell Backs
The Hound Pound is now live, and further Hound Sell back opportunities will launch with NPC merchants.
Shows + Titles
Your Hounds can be entered into open shows, which can be found here. Currently available show types are: conformation, agility, tolling and obedience. Your Hounds will also be able to earn titles from these shows!
Strays & Wilds
The stray system is currently being tested with Harrow.
Expeditions
We've completed our first expedition test, and you can expect another at some point in late spring - early summer!
Vistas
Vistas are an automated system where you can earn or purchase backgrounds for your Hounds! There are several vistas you can pick up from events and explorations! Keep an eye out for even more on the way.

Whoohoo, our first beta update! Several more systems have launched, and we expect NPC merchants and expeditions to be next up! Starting from today the breeding system is fully online, so it's time get those puppies!!! Starting this week you may also notice some new faces around, as we'll begin onboarding new beta testers! You are also now welcome to invite friends to apply to beta test!

Welcome First Wave Testers!

A big welcome to our first wave of closed beta testers! We've been working on Itona seriously for about two years now and are so thrilled to finally be letting other people in!!! Thank you for signing up to test for us so we can perfect the game before our general opening. The news posts during beta testing will mark where we are in the testing cycle, and highlight what systems are opening and closed. They'll also give you an idea of what areas of gameplay to try out!
We are planning on roughly 3 cycles of beta testing. Our initial wave (hello, it's you!) where we finish up things like guides and some item art, our mid wave, where we add in more systems, and then our final wave where we do any remaining tweaks! We don't have a set timeline for each wave, but anticipate that the length of each wave will get shorter as less has to be accomplished in each one.
