Mine Cleansing

Autumn in Azzaru is believed to be a time of thin veils. The mines are treacherous and many have lost their lives in the name of riches. The residents of Azzaru believe that the souls of those miners are most active on autumn nights when the moon is high, and the bravest handlers and Hounds are sent into the mines to help their spirits on to the next life. These days, many believe that the tradition is all for show, but there are still stories of spirit encounters that are passed around town like truth. Odd floating orbs, flickering shadows, wailing voices - they could be tricks of the mind, or real experiences of something otherworldly.
