Types are over arching categories for Hounds, and determine what lineart pack should be used to create the Hound. As with all other characteristics, type characteristics are controlled by the Hound's genotype. All types are interbreedable.
In Itona types are tied to general regions. At the moment only the Toller type has been discovered. Rumour has it that other types exist in different far flung cities that don't yet have steam carriage tracks ... Types can be further subdivided into breeds.
Tollers
Endemic to the Ynnisi region, Tollers are the most common Hound type. Noted for their trainability and long history of domestication, they excel at many tasks, though perhaps none as much as tolling. The genes associated with this type have not yet been identified.
