Shows 101

Shows are a key part of Itonan culture. There are a wide variety of types of shows in Itona, and each show type takes a different combination of Hound traits, training and handler skills into consideration.

The Basics

Each show considers a different grouping of traits, training and skills. What each show looks at can be seen on each individual show guide. If a trait, training or skill is not listed on the show guide it is not considered during that type of show. Generally speaking, having better or more of a stat or training is better. However, there's more at play than meets the eye! Hounds are animals, and are not entirely predictable. Sometimes they behave perfectly in the ring, but sometimes they can act up! Handlers can also have good and bad days. A handler having a perfect performance can help counteract a Hound acting up, but sometimes everything goes wrong all at once! More training and skills can help make performances more consistent.

Additionally, items can impact some shows. These items will clearly state what show they can be used on in their use line. Only one of each item can be applied to a show entry.

Entering Shows

Open shows can be entered via their prompt. Just like everything else, a handler can enter up to the amount of Hounds that they can control in a show. If you are not applying an item to a Hound you can enter up to your entry limit in a single submission. If you are applying items each Hound with an item applied must be entered seperately. Instincts like biddable and unpredictable also function in shows!

Shows always cost training to enter, and in some cases may have additional requirements, such as cogs, or other specific restrictions.

Show Results

After a show closes it will run. Once it has run you can view the results under Browse -> Shows. After the show runs winning Hounds will be granted any rewards they have earned.

Shows are typically the best way to earn Breeding Assessments for a Hound!
