Edges

Hard | Soft | Grizzled

Saddle is a eumelanin marking over a phaeomelanin base. Saddle may have a hard, soft, grizzled edges or a mix. Saddle should present in a relatively even range across the hound. Saddle retreats from the lower points of the hound up. At least the minimum saddle area must be solid.

Minimum saddle

A Hound with roughly a minimum sized, hard edged saddle.

Maximum Saddle

A Hound with a roughly maximum sized saddle with grizzled edges.
