Once you have a Phenotype in your ownership, you can submit a design for upload to turn it into a fully usable character.
For guidance on how to design your phenotype, refer to the Design Guide. When your design is final, save the file as a .png. The image must not be cropped or resized in any way for the upload process. You may centre the Hound horizontally on the canvas if you choose.
Creating your request
Navigate to your phenotype, which you can find under Kennel -> My Phenotypes. Once in the phenotype page, click Submit Phenotype Design to begin the process. You will then be asked to create a MYO Approval Request. Click the Create Request button.
Your new request will be in draft mode. At the beginning of your request, you will see a page with 5 tabs, each with a red X beside it:
- Status
- Comments
- Masterlist Image
- Add-Ons
- Traits
You will have to click through each tab and resolve them before you can submit your phenotype design request. Confirmed sections will have a green O next to the text on the tab.
Comments
The Comments tab will open up an optional text box for you to add any comments about your submission. Staff will consider any comments upon review of your request.
If you have no comments, simply click the Save button to mark this section complete.
Masterlist Image
In this section, you will upload your hound’s image. Only upload images that you are allowed to use and are able to credit the artist.
To upload your official import, select the .png image you have created of your design using the official Itona Expeditions template. The image must not be resized or cropped in any way.
Click Choose File to select the image. There is no need to resize the image with the sliders. Simply scroll down to the credits section to select your Designer(s) and Artist(s).
The first box on the left is for the designer or artist’s on-site username (if any). If they do not have an existing account on the Itona Expeditions website, add a link to their external profile in the box labeled Designer/Artist URL on the right to credit them.
If you are uploading an official Itona Expeditions template, our artist can be credited at https://www.deviantart.com/northernred.
Once done, click Save to mark this section complete.
Add-Ons
In this section, you can select items and/or currency to add to your request. These items will be removed from your inventory, but refunded if removed from the request, the request is rejected, or the request is deleted.
To attach add-ons, click the Show button next to Your Inventory or Your Bank to find the appropriate items.
If you don’t intend to attach any items/currency, click Save to mark this section complete.
Traits
In this section, you can attach any additional traits needed to your hound. Some traits may have been restricted for you - you cannot change these.
Scroll down to click Add Trait to select any additional traits for your hound. Staff will not be able to modify these traits for you, so if in doubt, please communicate with them beforehand to make sure that your design is acceptable.
Once additional traits are added, or if you don’t intend to add any traits, click Save to mark this section complete.
Submitting your request
Once all sections have been marked as complete, all tabs on the request page will have a green O on them. At this stage, you can click back to the Status tab and click Submit Request to submit your phenotype design.
Your request will be added to the design queue, where staff will be able to review. If accepted, your design will be uploaded and your phenotype converted into a full-fledged character.
