Eye, Horn & Detail Colours

Eyes

In most cases eyes can be any colour commonly observed on canines. This includes brown, gold, green, grey and blue. Hounds may also have heterochromia of one of the aforementioned colours and blue. Some patterns may require specific eye colours, which are always noted on the pattern's design guide. Pink and red eyes are reseved for patterns that specifically call for them.

Noses & Paw Pads

Noses should be a colour that related to the eumelanin colour of the hound. Black on black Hounds, brown or pinkish on chocolate Hounds, grey on blue Hound, etc. If the nose touches white markings it may be entirely or partially pink. Subtly mottled noses are acceptable on all Hounds. Paw pads may optionally be coloured, following the same rules as noses, or may be blended in to the coat.

Horns

Horns can be any colour that is found on horns in the natural world. Black, grey, brown, bone and all the colours inbetween are viable. Horns may also exhibit subtle banding or gradients. Unlike the main body of a hound horns may be shaded or highlighted.

Fangs

Fangs may be any reasonable tooth like colour, from quite white to quite yellow/tan.

Other Details

Hounds may have flesh toned details where they have short fur, and the area is light enough in colour that flesh could reasonable show through. This can inclue paws, snouts and underbellies on short coated hounds.

Inner ear areas may follow the pattern guide or exhibit any logical colour or combination of colours that relates the rest of the Hound. The may also be flesh coloured.
