Citizenship is a hard choice.
Nearly as soon as Kiki departed the ship her ever bubbly demeanor was met with delicious smells and the laughter of a bustling port town. She smiled at everyone she saw as she ate food and danced the night away. She was left in awe at the beautiful limestone buildings. Stars formed in her eyes as she thought of what brilliant architects the city must hold. Just marveling at their works made the dreary trip over worth it. She had spent the first few days immersing herself with the diverse local culture. She made a point to stop and dote on absolutely each and every hound she encountered. Each one cuter than the last.
At the end of her second day she decided to do a full tour of the city, she wanted to take in the local food. Though she had never been a fan of seafood, coming from a place where it was nearly never fresh and terribly salted to keep it preserved she was hesitant. However she couldn't go anywhere without someone ranting and raving about the fresh sea food she simply had to give it a try. One bite in her mouth and she let out a guttural moan. She turned beat red as those around her looked over some stifling laughter. This was simply amazing. The best food she had eaten. Not only was the city alive with music and laughter the food simply couldn't be beaten.
She spent the rest of the day speaking to the locals trying to get a feel of the land. She learned of some different guilds and thief functions, she learned about the frontier wooden mining town that was quickly booming with immagrants, she learned all she could about the hounds and their many uses to the people.
Time came of course for her to make a decision about where she would be staying. Whether it be the coastal city they had made port at, or the mining city that was steadily growing. Kiki took her time giving each of the representatives her full attention as they spoke. It was surely two very different lives. Using the knowledge she had gathered over the few days here and the little bits she had Picked up over the course of her stay about Azzaru it was a clear choice in her mind.
Kiki was not one for hard work or manual labor, she was not here to get rich off of the mines or become a traveling merchant. She was here to thrive and make her name in the Hound show world. Where better a -lace to start than here, the port city. From here she could take in the culture, size the competition. She could make some friends and maybe in tune if she was lucky she would earn her spot in the ever elusive Fancier's Guild. To her it was a simple choice though she did commend those that would take on frontier life to hopefully get rich or die trying. For now Kiki would use all the charm in her little body to make the vital connections for her future and maybe meet a hound or two in the process to start her champion lineage.
Kiki has to pick a place to live. The choice is easy for her.
