Kiki sat up in bed, yawning and stretching. She rubbed her eyes and looked over to the calendar that hung on the wall. Her eyes lit up and a smile broke out across her face. Today was the day that she would take two of her hounds to conformation training classes. She could not be more excited. This was what she had been waiting for since she came to this island. Her hounds would be well rounded and champions in multiple areas. Conformation would be the stepping stone to her fame and renown. She glanced over to where Hel lay curled up on her bed. "Your up first sleepyhead" she called. Shifting her weight to get up out of bed she made her way over to where Hel layed sleeping. Hel glanced up at her before laying her head back down. "It's not like you to sleep in." Kiki huffed. "It's time to go, we don't want to keep the trainer waiting." Kiki hustled to get ready before grabbing the thin leash that she would use for confirmation shows. She turned back to Hel expectantly slipping the leash over her head and practically dragging her out the door.

Hel had been having a lovely dream. She was on the beach, racing around in the shallow waves chasing after a fish. She was finally alone. The girl was no where in sight, nor was that Hound dog Creep who was always following her around now. Her dream was abruptly ended by the girls shrill voice. Hel peeled up at her and huffed before laying her head back down. It was a good dream she wanted to get back to. Just as she started to drift off again. The girl barked at her and slipped a tiny rope around her neck before yanking her out of her nice warm bed. 'Again with the ropes? I thought we were done with these.' Hel sighed. Shirley the girl didn't need this tiny rope to not get lost she had lived here long enough. Hel trotted next to her. Hel kept her nose high in the air and the familiar smell of fresh baked hound treatos reached her nose. As it did her stomach let out a low rumble and Hel turned her head to the girl and let out a yip. This didn't seem to phase the girl who continued walking at her brisk pace. She she let out a louder more forceful bark. This got the girls attention and she turned her head to look at Hel.

Kiki had been walking with fervor and determination. The knew the path to the training building by heart now. Her excitement in starting to participate in real shows had reached a peak and it caused her to walk quite briskly. Hel kept up just fine. She heard the dog let out a yip but kept walking. Hel hadn't slowed her pace at all and Kiki assumed she had seen a duskrat or something. Not long after though Hel slowed her pace and let out a louder bark that nearly startled Kiki. She looked down and Hel had her head turned in the direction of the bakery. "Not now girl we don't want to be late. Tell you what, you be a good girl and do well in your training class today and I'll get you extra biscuits." It seemed Hel understood the words because she continued on her way and they reached the training facility quickly.

Kiki let out a friendly wave to the trainer. "We made it on time this time." She called out with a smile. The trainer brought them into the building and they could see that the area had been cleared of obstacles and was an open ring. "Okay so first we're gonna have you do a lap around the arena keeping Hel at a steady pace to show off her gait. Then we're gonna have you come to here." She pointed at a spot in the arena. "We will have you manually stack her and I'll go over her. Then you'll go around again and we can see how she free stacks, make any adjustments you might need before I go over her. Sounds good?" Kiki nodded, Hel had advanced obedience she was a good smart dog that caught on to things quickly. Kiki was sure that this would be no different.

She held the leash loosely in her hands as she began her walk. It was somewhere between a trot and a jog. It did not take her very long to make thier way around the arena. They soon came to the spot that the trainer had signified. Kiki brought Hel next to her and tan her hands down her neck. She moved her front paws a bit so that her stance was more square. She also moved her legs back a bit to show off the length. Hel let her move into position and gave no issues. Kiki have the sign to focus and Hel kept her eyes locked on Kiki's as the trainer approached. They ran thier hands down the length of Hel's body. They checked her teeth. Hel did not move from her position. Kiki swelled with pride. The trainer gave Kiki a nod and she motioned the Hel to stay with her. The two glided around the arena instep with one another before coming back to the spot they had been before. Kiki tugged on the leash to get Hel to stack and she did a pretty good job on her own, only needing a few minor adjustments. The trainer went over her again and again Hel stood rock solid. Kiki was sure that Hel would shine on shows. She thanked the trainer and made her way out.

The two stopped by the local bakery and Kiki made a point to get Hel a dozen treatos. "You did so good my girl. You are ready for anything." Hel happily wagged her tail as she mowed down on her treats. Kiki gulped at the realization that Trigger was next to take this class and something told her he would not prove as easy as his mother.
